Spooky Season Is Here (Even If It's Still 92 Degrees)

My favorite season is approaching and I couldn't be more excited to share some Halloween highlights. I wanted this post to go beyond what I sell in my shop and offer some creative crafts / art whether I sell them or not LOL.

Over the weekend I went to a Fall Market. I wore my best fall outfit- and regretted it because it was 92 degrees and wearing a sweater and jeans was not the move.  I should know better SEPTEMBER is not Sweater weather in Georgia.

Anyhoo-

I found this local family of folk art potters and I really loved how unique their work was.

My daughter purchased this Hog jug from them.  The booth was our first stop so I was hesitant to purchase an  amazing glazed pumpkin head.  As we were heading out I went back for it, but it was gone.  I was so bummed, but I know I will find my special piece soon enough.

if your looking for some cool art pieces or  some terracotta pumpkin planters they have an Etsy shop  and website.

Costume Cats

I squealed out loud when these came in- aren't they adorable?    Ghost, Skeleton, Pumpkin, Witch and Wizard,  The felt comes pre-cut with the pattern already printed on it, so you get to just sit down and start. I think they are so fun and I want to make all of them.  I already made the ghost and while my stitches need improvement I think she came out so cute.  I definitely think a beginner can make them.

The best part is her little black feet and tail poking out from under the sheet - and the sheet comes off so she can just be a cat.  Savannah (my cat in the photo) approves.

Which one is your favorite?

Halloween Quilts

While I don't have any Halloween inspired quilt patterns I would be remiss if I didn't let you know about these newly released Foundation Paper Pieced patterns by Julius Rempe-Night.  The set of them can be found here.  Aren't they so cute!

I also love this ghost quilt pattern by woollypetal isn't is adorable?   She also has some really cute customizations available for the ghosts.  You can find the pattern here.

I'm still a little sad about that pumpkin head.  But I have plenty of projects  to make so I'll be fine. Happy Halloween friends 🎃
